After receiving two Masters degrees from the New England Conservatory, Mr. Lindley was the first harpsichordist to receive the prestigious Beebe Award for study and travel in Europe, where he worked with Nadia Boulanger in Paris and Gustav Leonhardt in Amsterdam.
Mr. Lindley has performed to critical acclaim throughout Europe and the United States, and is also an accomplished pianist, composer and improviser.
He has served on the faculties of the New England Conservatory. Goucher College, Occidental College, California State University Los Angeles, and California State University Long Beach. Presently he is Principal Musician for the Drama & Dance Department at the University of California Santa Barbara where he also has been active as a composer.
